Pseudo-static is compared to real static. Real static will generate a file with html or htm suffix, and visitors can access the real static page. Pseudo-static does not generate entity static page files, but only in the form of static pages such as .html, but it is actually processed by PHP program dynamic scripts. This is pseudo-static.

Advantages and disadvantages of static pages:

Real static is usually to better relieve server pressure and enhance search engine friendliness, so web content is generated into static pages. But the biggest flaw is that every time the web content is modified in the background of the website, a static page needs to be regenerated, which cannot display the updated content in real time. As the website content becomes more over time, the space occupied and the server resources consumed each time to generate a static page cannot be underestimated (there are cases where too much content and static pages are generated at once, causing the server to crash).

What is the role of pseudo-static?

Some friends, in order to display some information in real time, or want to use dynamic scripts to solve some problems, cannot display website content in a static way, but this will lose the friendliness to search engines. How to find a middle method between the two? This gives rise to pseudo-static technology.

What are the shortcomings of pseudo-static?

Since pseudo-static uses regular expressions to determine the page that needs to be jumped to instead of the real page address, the responsibility for determining which page to display is also determined by directly specifying the server CPU. Therefore, the increase in CPU usage is indeed the biggest disadvantage of pseudo-static.
